I am passionate about resolving my client's issues, not just helping them to cope with triggers, or to simply manage their addiction or depression. This kind of approach, like many mindfulness and traditional talk therapy techniques, as well as medication, is incomplete, temporary, and a crutch. They do not fix the problem or inspire success. They simply mask the problem, or allow you to dream about change. They do not generate the transformation you need to overcome addiction or achieve goals.
Subconscious Dynamics™ is the game-changer
My aim is always to identify and address the underlying root cause of your issues, or the drivers behind your desire for change. This is why I use the powerful and proven therapy known as Subconscious Dynamics™, that combines modern hypnosis with neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), to access the powerful, deep mind. Subconscious Dynamics™ was developed over many years by UK philosopher and clinical hypnotherapist Alistair Horscroft of The Mind Academy - someone I am now honoured to call my mentor and my friend.
It is the subconscious part of the mind that holds 95% of our memories, beliefs, and emotions, and is responsible for shaping how we feel, act, and react.
Why I work with the subconscious mind
Simply put: because it works! The conscious mind is the part of you that thinks, plans, and makes decisions. It’s useful, but limited, because it generalises, protects, and resists change. So while you may need or want to change your behaviour, your conscious mind prefers to keep you stuck in a place of familiarity and comfort - status quo.
The subconscious mind however is a more powerful and neutral beast. So by using hypnosis with Subconscious Dynamics™ we can bypass the overthinking conscious mind and delve into your deep mind, where you can rapidly address and rewire the brain for lasting recovery, growth, or change.
How does hypnosis fit in?
First of all, forget what about the hypnosis you’ve seen on TV! Modern hypnotherapy has nothing to do with that staged performance and quackery. Hypnosis in a clinical setting, like my use of Subconscious Dynamics™ is a way to bring someone into a natural, relaxed state — the same kind of state you can achieve through meditation, prayer, or creative flow.
Experts in hypnosis, like myself, use verbal and physical cues to drop you into your subconscious mind, opening it up to new ideas. There’s no swinging stopwatches or clucking like a chicken, you remain fully aware and in control at all times.
Modern hypnosis just guides you into a deep, quiet state that makes your mind ripe for transformation.
What can Subconscious Dynamics™ help with?
